Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival.

around. My wife and Nancy were particularly
close. We had the pleasure of going out to
Creede and visit her at the cabin on one occasion.

I adored Nancy!
I have a picture of her (autographed) sitting in a
prominent place in my home. It's only fitting
that her name comes up often in conversations with
Ponca Playhouse folks. I don't know how many
times I've said to newcomers, "I'm sorry you never
got to know Nancy." She was Solid Gold and I
miss her very much. I remember when she called
me over to her apartment to tell me about her
diagnosis. I sat down on the floor in front of
her chair and put my head in her lap and
sobbed...she, of course, comforted me. That's
Nancy! |

Nancy and I (BJ)
attended KU at the same time and became friend
there. Her parents had a cabin in the Creede
area where a group of KU students started a Theatre
(Creed Repertory Theatre). As the years
progressed, we became better and better friends.
I miss her greatly and am very happy that her
daughters are friends of mine also. Much love

My late father
(George E. Kroenert, Jr. who by the way would have
been 75-years old yesterday), considered Nancy like
his sister though they were just 1st. cousins.
Throughout my childhood I watched as my dad received
so much joy from their relationship. I will be
